Archetypal Dance: Return of a timeless impulse
The human Self or soul is a dynamic set of relational patterns.
Within these patterns exists the connective tissue of the universe.
These patterns are the Archetypes.
Our ancient ancestors from many indigenous lifeways called the Archetypal patterns Gods.
Our present age is defined by the impulse to restore our connection to the network of Archetypal divinity after millennia of alienating, power-driven, dogmatic social forms that placed one God or one Identity above the web of Life.
As we return to the ancient Archetypal vision of the relational web of life, we reach out to one another with a natural desire for communion.
Archetypal dance, celebrating the diverse faces of divine being, is among the most ancient of all human impulses.
This impulse in dance and its significance as a healing force returned in a new form through the genius of Isadora Duncan.
Her teachings continue to offer guidance on how to remember, cultivate and celebrate the divine patterns alive within us through the ancient way of dance.
As we engage in Archetypal dance, natural forms of community arise out of the connective tissue of the Archetypes and renew our social being.
